Little Toy Collection
This quirky, square-bodied figure — part human, part doll —carries the wide-eyed innocence of my younger self. In the early 1990s, I stepped out from a closed, familiar world into a new and unknown land. Suddenly surrounded by strange symbols, unfamiliar rhythms, and foreign languages, I became curious, awkward, yet eager to touch and test everything fresh.
Here, acupuncture points meet Western objects; Chinese characters share space
with English words. Little Toy captures that moment of cultural collision — playful yet shy, humorous yet searching — a small soul learning to walk at the crossroads of East and West, slowly opening its eyes to the world.
